Vantyra Analytics
Solar and storage analytics for every stage of the development cycle.
From early-stage site screening to feasibility analysis — fast enough to keep up with your pipeline, accurate enough to defend.
About
Built from inside the industry, for the developers who keep it moving.
Vantyra Analytics was built to close a specific gap. Inside large utility-scale developers, analysts have access to high-resolution resource modeling, custom production pipelines, and dispatch optimization tooling — built and maintained by internal teams. Outside that environment, distributed generation developers are usually working with a fraction of that toolkit: free satellite data, generic assumptions, slow third-party turnaround.
The platform brings that internal-team caliber of analytics to teams that don't have the headcount to build it themselves. It was developed out of that internal-team experience — including time spent at NextEra Energy building production modeling and dispatch optimization for utility-scale and DG portfolios — and refined into a workflow that handles site screening, feasibility, and design optimization at the pace development actually moves.
The technical foundation is widely used, industry-standard physics-based models — enhanced with proprietary, research-backed bias correction to close the gap between satellite and ground-truth data.
What It Does
Capabilities
Five integrated modules covering the full development cycle — site identification, resource analysis, system design, economics, and market exposure. All accessible through a conversational interface that handles the orchestration for you.
Resource & Production Modeling
Hourly solar production simulation built on PySAM with proprietary bias correction applied to NSRDB irradiance and ERA5 climate inputs. Validated against measured plant output, with errors well within typical engineering tolerances — substantially tighter than PVWatts at the same sites.
Buildable Land Analysis
Slope, land cover, and exclusion-zone analysis from a KMZ or coordinate. Returns acreage usable for solar after applying setbacks and terrain constraints, plus a layout-ready estimate of installable DC capacity.
DER Design Optimization
Sweeps GCR, DC/AC ratio, and battery sizing to find the configuration that maximizes production, minimizes LCOE, or maximizes NPV. Joint solar + storage optimization handles the interactions between system design and dispatch revenue.
BESS Analysis
Hourly battery dispatch under custom-built tariff structures — TOU, demand charges, tiered rates, and wholesale market prices — modeled from your inputs to match the actual rate the project will see. Supports behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter operating modes, ITC-compliant solar-only charging, and degradation over the project life.
Wholesale Market Data
Pulls historical and recent LMP data for CAISO, ERCOT, and PJM. Combined with the platform's BESS dispatch engine, supports revenue analysis for merchant solar and standalone storage projects.
Workflow
A conversational interface, with full message history. Describe the analysis you want — the platform handles the orchestration.
Step 1
The platform proposes a structured analysis plan — you approve or refine before anything runs.
Step 2
Approved plans return a full analysis: production estimates, loss breakdown, and downloadable charts.
Validation
Estimates you can defend.
Production modeling is only useful if it matches reality. PVDAQ sites from NREL's archive — across different geographies and mounting types — have been used to validate platform outputs against measured plant data, with results well within typical engineering tolerances.

Benchmark methodology follows the NREL SAM validation framework (TP-6A20-61497). Additional site validation in progress.
